The Forum For Democratic Change (fdc) has nominated local musician Sadati Mukiibi ,popular known as Khalifa Aganaga, as its flag bearer in the forthcoming kawempe north mp seat.
FDC said Wednesday that Mr Sadat Mukiibi was their preferred candidate for the March 13 by election to feel the seat that feel the vacant following the death of Muhammad Ssegirinya ,a member of National Unity Platform led by musician turned politician, Bobi Wine. 
The unveiling of Mukiibi Sadat was done at the party headquarters in Najjankumbi ,Kampala on Wednesday by FDC officials led by Amuriat Oboi the president of forum for democratic change (fdc).
"Dear fellow musicians and artists, Laws are made in parliament and for us to push for the copyright law we must have a member of artists in parliament of Uganda, Therefore, I call upon all musicians and artists to support and rally behind me .I promise you to front the copyright law

The development comes hours after NUP said at least 10 people had Expressed interest to contest for the seat.
National Unity Platform which is currently the leading opposition party is expected to subject it's aspirants to debate on February 7 before Announcing theire flag bearer on February 11.
The 10 politicians have expressed interest to be NUP flag bearers in the by election are: Umar Magala, Muhammad Lusswa Luwemba, Erias Luyimbazi , Mathius Murumba, Moses Nsereko, Ssalim Sserunkuuma, Frederick Katika, Charles Rubagumya, Kenneth Ssekungu and Saul Kulya Zziwa.
